Sſtabhmontown

I attended a IntrigueCon this last weekend and was involved in an old school dungeon hack.

I thought it was awesome to show the rest of the people here what was used.

http://sstabhmontown.tumblr.com/

As a proud Edmontonion, it was kinda amusing to see an old school world appear based on our home town.

It was also fun to find out it was a "living dungeon."  That is everybody leaves a mark on it so your changes will be felt.

While ostentatiously based on swords and wizardry, it had enough tweaks that I believe it deserved it's own post.

Enjoy and if you want, tell us what stories have been used in your own stomping grounds. :)

Labrynth Lord & Mutant Future

Labrynth Lord

Mutant Future
http://www.goblinoidgames.com/mutantfuture.html

These retro-editions came to my attention by the great Sam Dillion of the play on target and tome show podcast.

https://twitter.com/DMSamuel?lang=en

I got a serious kick out of them as they really show a non-copyrighted version of several popular games originally done by tsr back in the day.

Enjoy. :)

Death Race against the Patriarchy

I was going to do something else for this weeks aggregate, but when a bros' product drops, that is the time to shill it.

Death Race against the Patriarchy

besides the obligatory link, I'd like to talk about my own experiences in his journey.

It all started with a contest.

The Great Ryan Macklin did a contest where he wanted us to do a car racing contest.  Details are below.

http://ryanmacklin.com/2015/09/firing-up-the-furious-game-jam/

I, of course, did Drevrpg, and did a silly little skill montage for the fun of it.

http://www.drevrpg.com/2015/09/short-bus-to-denver.html

One of the stipulations was to judge one of them.

http://ryanmacklin.com/2015/09/looking-for-furious-test-drivers/

However, we read over the other articles and got a serious kick out of one in particular,

https://studentroleplayingregionals.wordpress.com/2015/09/25/the-fast-the-furious-and-the-feminist/

So we ran the game, and we're still not sure we did it right, but man was it fun.

This experience fuelled my bro to get involved in a writing clinic where he was a whirlwind of writing activity.

He then presented his opus to myself and a few other close knit friends where we edited it.

I will give my friend full kudos for doing such a product.  It is an original product that takes a serious concept and manages to give it emotional heft.

May it be the beginning of a wonderful career. :)

Noisy Person Cards - or how to get comfortable in being silly in public

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oneshotpodcast/noisy-person-cards

I heard about it recently on the tome show and if you want a fun gateway game to having fun in making silly voices, this is for you. :)

There's a free deck on the kickstarter, but honestly, I'm backing this. :)

Crucible of Realms

Instead of a book or game, promoting on of my favorite podcasts of all time: Crucible of Realms

http://www.crucibleofrealms.com/

These guys did an amazing job creating random worlds as hosted by Jim "the awesome" Ryan, one of the most creatively insane minds of our generation.

Let them know how awesome they are. :)

5e Homebrew

I haven't had a chance to look too deeply, but it was recommended highly by a friend of mine.

best I can tell, it tries to fill in a lot of holes.

The Tearable RPG

http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/167521/The-Tearable-RPG

This game has a really original concept.

essentially you tear the sheet to see whether you succeed or fail.

It was produced by Jim McClure (of Talking Tabletop) and they even did a let's play based on the 80's.

It looks like a blast. :)

Swords and Wizardry

Fast and the Furious - Game Inspiration

A while back, I was involved in fast and the furious game jam, where we tried to do all sorts of variants

my contribution was Short Bus to Denver.

Rather then picking one at random, I'm presenting the final project link for everybody's enjoyment.
